This Month in December
The most notable event in December happened in 1903 when Orville and Wilbur Wright took their first flight. This is one of the most impactful events in human history, with the creation of planes allowing us to soar in the skies. The Wright brothers owned a bicycle shop in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, which they used to fund their flying adventures in the early 1900s. They developed many airplane models before the final aircraft, in which Orville was the first human to fly a plane. He flew for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet, leading the way for human technology to develop into the modern aircraft that we know today.
